Elk's Most Valuable Student Scholarship...DUE NOV 13, 2023 at 11:59 pm...Scholarships awarded at local, state, and national levels and are renewable for 4 years. We usually have one or more students who receive this scholarship each year! Apply!!

Nodaway County Cattlemen's Association Scholarship ...DUE DEC 1, 2023...minimum 2.5 GPA; preference may be given to students with their area of study in the field of agriculture and food production, but students pursuing non-agricultural degrees are still eligible and are encouraged to apply. One MHS student will receive this $1000 scholarship. Everyone should apply!

MU Annual Scholarship...DUE DEC 1, 2023 ...Must be accepted to the University of Missouri-Columbia in order to apply. Fill out one applicationto apply for all general and departmental scholarships from Mizzou. All students who plan to attend Mizzou should apply!

Missouri S&T Chancellor's Scholarship...DUE DEC 1, 2023...Must apply for admission to Missouri S&T by Nov. 14, minimum 31 ACT Superscore, minimum 3.75 GPA.

Maryville Rotary Club Frank Felton Farm Youth Award and Scholarship ...DUE DEC 15, 2023...This award is presented annually to a student from Nodaway County that is involved in agriculture as well as school activities, community projects, church, and clubs. The recipient will be awarded a $500 scholarship to Northwest Missouri State University in any field of study (your major does NOT have to be ag related).

Burger King Scholars Program... Conservation Federation of Missouri Scholarships...DUE JAN 31, 2024...Various scholarships offered, see details on the webpage. Must major in a conservation related field at a Missouri college or university. High school students will be eligible for the Charles P. Bell Scholarship, the Ed Stegner Natural Resource Scholarship, the Minority Natural Resource Scholarship, and the Nana Family Scholarship. There is a separate application for each.

Missouri Conservation Agents Scholarship...DUE FEB 1, 2024...must pursue a degree in biology, wildlife management, forestry, fisheries, ecology, agriculture, criminal justice or a field of study closely related to the preceding subjects.

James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship ....DUE FEB 1, 2023...minimum 2.5 GPA, family adjusted gross income of $60,000 or less and FAFSA EFC of $7000 or less. 

Elk's Foundation Legacy Award...DUE FEB 5, 2024...parent or grandparent must be an Elks member.

Louis and Grace Stelter Scholarship ...DUE FEB 9, 2024 by 3 pm to MHS Counseling Office...minimum 3.25 GPA, must plan to attend a 4-year university in the fall of 2024, must have work experience. Two MHS students will each receive a $3500 scholarship!

Missouri Stem Signing Day Scholarship...DUE FEB 15, 2024....must plan to pursue a STEM career path (degree or certificate program) in Fall 2024 at a Missouri 2-year, 4-year, or technical college.

Tenaska Clear Creek Wind Scholarship...DUE FEB 16, 2024...Must plan to attend a two- or four-year post-secondary education program at an accredited institution. Family members of Tenaska employees are not eligible to receive scholarship funds. Scholarships will be awarded to college-bound seniors from Maryville High School, North Nodaway High School, and/or West Nodaway High School.

Missouri Corn Scholarship...DUE FEB 16, 2024...must attend a 2 or 4 year Missouri college or university and major in agronomy or a related field.

Missouri Gaming Association Project 21 Scholarship ....FEB 15, 2024 deadline for article, poster, or video display. Actual scholarship submission deadline is MARCH 1.....must write an article or create a poster or video on the topic of underage gambling. The article, poster, or video must be published or displayed between Dec. 1 and Feb. 15. See Mrs. Houtchens for help with this. Our students have had good luck with this scholarship in the past. Give it a try!

MFA Foundation Scholarship...DUE FEB 15, 2024...applicant must be child or grandchild (including step) of a member or qualified MFA customer. Preference given to those furthering their education in agriculture or other fields that benefit rural life, but this is not an application requirement.

Missouri Knights of Columbus Scholarships...DUE FEB 20, 2024...(to access the application on the Knights webpage, scroll to the section titled "Family" and click on "Scholarship Forms Folder). Student or parent must be a member of the Knights of Columbus. See last page of the application for additional criteria for the various scholarships offered.

Farm Kids for College Scholarship ...DUE FEB 20, 2024...must plan to pursue an agriculture-related degree. 

RootEd Career or Technical Scholarship...DUE BY 8 AM FEB 27, 2024...This is a one-time $375 scholarship that can be used toward tuition at a trade or technical school, and/or can be used to purchase tools, equipment, etc for a career bound student. The goal of this scholarship is to empower students to pursue career training by providing support toward expenses. One MHS student will receive this scholarship.

Cody Lee Stiens Memorial Scholarship...DUE FEB 28, 2024...Four $2000 scholarships will be awarded to students in Nodaway County who will attend a trade/technical school with the goal of obtaining a degree or certification leading towards employment in a related field.

Missouri Society of CPAs (MOCPA) Scholarship...DUE FEB. 29, 2024...must declare an accounting major at a Missouri college/university. Must be a student member of MOCPA, which is free of charge and can be obtained online (details on the application website).

SAE Scholarships...DUE FEB 29, 2024 (OPENS FEB 1)...Must major in engineering or other related science, including math, chemistry, physics, biology, technologies, computer science, etc. Several different categories of scholarships available.

FCS Financial Scholarship....DUE MAR 1, 2024...must be the child or grandchild of an FCSF customer.

Nodaway Chorale Scholarship.....DUE MAR 1, 2024...applicants must demonstrate a passion for vocal music. Any major is eligible, but preference may be given to applicants who intend to continue advanced study in fields related to choral music. Must include a 2-5 minute video or audio recording of a vocal performance. They are not necessarily looking for the most accomplished singer or someone who plans to sing professionally, but rather for a young person who is joyfully passionalte about singing.

Nucor Foundation Children of Nucor Scholarship...DUE MAR 1, 2024...Parent or step-parent must be a qualified employee of Nucor.

Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri Scholarships...DUE MAR 1, 2024...apply for several scholarships in NW Missouri with one application. Various criteria for the many scholarships. Complete the "Qualifying Questions" on the website to determine which scholarships you will be eligible for. All MHS seniors should complete the qualifying questions to see if you are eligible for any of these.

Missouri Courage Scholarships...DUE MAR 1, 2024...For students who have demonstrated commitment (or show great potential) to work for change in their community to advance the lives of LGBTQ people or impact other social justice causes.

Masonic Scholarship Fund of Missouri......DUE MAR 1, 2024....Three different scholarships available, 2 for any major (Masonic Merit, Samuel Smith Stewart), 1 for education or health fields (Ruth Lutes Bachman). See website for more details.

Masonic Scholarship Fund of Missouri Community College Scholarship...DUE MAR 1, 2024...Must attend a community college in Missouri. See website for more details.

Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarship...DUE MAR 1, 2024...Must plan to pursue college studies in a banking-related degree program. Application requires signature of a Missouri Bankers Association Member Bank. Ask your bank if they are a member. Many are!

Missouri Women's Golf Association Scholarship...DUE MAR 9, 2024...must be a Missouri female who has been active in golf activities.

MARE (Missouri Association of Rural Education) Scholarship...DUE MAR. 13, 2024...must attend a MARE member school district (Maryville R-II is a member), must attend a Missouri college or university to pursue a teacher education degree, and express a desire to teach in a rural community. (on the website linked above, make sure you select the HS senior scholarship, not the college scholarship).

Missouri Assn Mutual Insurance Company Scholarship (Farmer's Mutual)...DUE MAR 15, 2024...all seniors are eligible to apply. DO NOT need to be a policy holder at Farmer's Mutual to apply, but preference may be given to those whose parents or grandparents are. 24 statewide scholarships to be awarded....Additionally, if you indicate in the application that you are affiliated with Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County, your application will be forwarded to the local office to review for a local $1000 scholarship.

Mosaic Life Care Scholarships...DUE MAR 15, 2024 (for most, some vary)...several scholarships offered for students pursuing various medical/nursing/healthcare degrees. See website for the criteria for each scholarship.

State Technical College of Missouri Foundation Scholarships...DUE MAR 15, 2024....must have applied to State Tech. Complete one application to apply for over 50 scholarships for State Tech students.

Maryville Pride Lions Club Technical School Scholarship...DUE MAR 18, 2024 by noon (turn in to Mrs. Houtchens)...open to any senior from Maryville, West Nodaway, Jefferson, South Nodaway, or Northeast Nodaway who will enroll as a full-time student at a trade or technical school immediately following high school. You can apply for only ONE Pride Lions scholarship (choose to apply for either this one OR for the Pride Lions Gordon Monk Scholarship listed below).

Maryville Pride Lions Gordon Monk Scholarship...DUE MAR 18, 2024 by noon (turn in to Mrs. Houtchens)...Must have some type of visual impairment. If you apply for this scholarship, you are prohibited from applying for the Pride Lions Brenden O'Riley Memorial Scholarship and/or the Pride Lions Technical School Scholarship. Women Legislators of Missouri Scholarship...DUE MAR 22, 2024...Must be a female Missouri resident. Write a 500 word essay on this topic, "If you were a state legislator, what is one law you would work to pass and why?"

Northwest Missouri Financial Women Scholarship...DUE MAR 28, 2024...must be female, 3.0 GPA, pursue a degree in a business or finance related area. Please make a copy of the Google Doc, then fill out, print, and mail to the address provided on the application.

Northwest Missouri Association of School Administrators (NWMASA) Scholarship...DUE MAR 28, 2024...must pursue a degree in education OR must be the child of a member of NWMASA who is pursuing any degree or certification.

NAMI Missouri Youth Ambassador Mental Health Scholarship...DUE MAR 29, 2024...NAMI Missouri will award $1000 scholarships to two high school seniors who demonstrate an understanding of the significant role mental health plays in our everyday lives.

Savannah Domann Memorial Volleyball Scholarship...DUE MAR 31, 2023...any volleyball player is eligible to apply.

Missouri Farm Bureau Charles E Kruse Agricultural Scholarship...DUE MAR 31, 2024...parent or guardian must hold a current Farm Bureau membership, must enroll in a 4-year Missouri college or university with a declared major in an agricultural field.

Missouri Farm Bureau Vocational Scholarship...DUE MAR 31, 2024...student or parent must be Farm Bureau member. Must pursue a degree or certification in field related to and supportive of agriculture. This includes, but is not limited to: Heavy Equipment Operations, Electronics, Welding, and Diesel and Farm Machinery Repair. Students pursuing a 4-year degree are not eligible. Minimum 2.5 GPA.

Maryville Garden Club Scholarship....DUE APR 1, 2024....must attend a Nodaway County high school, must be enrolling in a college, university, trade school, or other institution of higher learning.

North Central Missouri College Foundation Scholarships...DUE APR 1, 2024, BY 4:30 pm...for students who will attend NCMC. Complete one application to apply for over 50 different scholarships.

Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship...DUE APR 1 by 3pm...must enroll part- or full-time at a vocational technical school, trade school, or two-year community college. Must pursue an associate degree, certificate or industry-recognized credential in one of the fields listed on the application including Computer and Information Sciences, Engineering, Engineering Technologies, Mechanic & Repair Technologies, or Precision Production.

Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship...DUE APR 1 BY 3PM...must pursue one of the following majors at a 4-year accredited university: aerospace engineering, computer engineering, computer science, cyber/cybersecurity, electrical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, industrial engineering, mathematics, or physics. Must be willing to consider a paid internship with Lockheed Martin while in college (not a requirement).

Northwest Missouri State University Standard Scholarship....DUE APRIL 1, 2024...Must be accepted to Northwest. Fill out one application to apply for several scholarships. Access the application by logging into CatPAWS, select the Student tab, and then select the Standard Scholarship Application box.  All students who plan to attend NWMSU should apply!!!

1. Northwest Neta Derry Memorial Scholarship: awarded to an energetic and dedicated student who values learning. One MHS student will receive this $225 scholarship

Teens for Alzheimer's Awareness Scholarship ...DUE APR 1, 2024 by 4 pm...write a 1200-1500 word essay or submit a video of 4 minutes or less that describes the impact of Alzheimer's disease or another dementia-relate illness on yourself, your family or community, and what you've learned in light of coping with the brain disorder.

Connections Bank Scholarship...DUE APRIL 1, 2024....Must attend a 4-year university. Local scholarships are awarded. Applications can be dropped off to the Maryville Connections Bank location or submitted through email to scholarship@connections.bank.

United Producers, Inc Scholarship...DUE APRIL 1, 2024...Applicants can be a child/grandchild of a UPI member or can be nominated by a member.

The Ike Foundation Scholarship...DUE APRIL 1, 2024...must enroll full-time at a 2- or 4-year college or university, preferably fishing/conservation related major, but not a requirement; minimum 3.2 GPA. Must write a personal statement of how fishing has impacted your life and prepared you for college.

Northwest Missouri Docudrama Scholarship...DUE APRIL 12, 2024...Minimum 3.0 GPA, plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college or technical school. Must pursue education in Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Fire and Disaster Management or related field.

Insuring Rural Communities Scholarship...DUE APRIL 15, 2024...must be a student from a rural area in MO or IL. Must pursue a degree or certificate in health care, information technology, or risk management. Must demonstrate financial need and have minimum 2.0 GPA.

Nodaway Masonic Lodge #470 Scholarship...DUE APRIL 15, 2024...must be a graduate of a Nodaway County high school, must attend an accredited college/tech school. Two $500 scholarships to be awarded.

Ava's Grace Scholarship....DUE APRIL 15, 2024...for Missouri students who have a parent who is or has been incarcerated in a US penitentiary (state or federal). Must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA and have minimum 2.0 GPA.

RootEd Undergraduate Scholarship....DUE MAY 15, 2024...must have attended a RootEd high school (MHS is one), enroll in a bachelor's degree seeking program, demonstrate financial need with a FAFSA SAI less than 17,500 or have significant extenuating circumstances. 30 scholarships of up to $12,000 to be awarded. All MHS seniors who meet the eligibility criteria should apply!

Missouri Access Extra Scholarship...DUE MAY 15, 2024, but is first-come first-served....3.5+ GPA, SAI from FAFSA must be 12,000 or less (will need to upload your FAFSA Submission Summary.
